Disney Gift Finder is a guided shopping experience designed to
reduce decision fatigue while selecting gifts. The goal was to
help users quickly discover the right product by asking simple,
friendly questions instead of overwhelming them with filters.
UX challenges
Users often struggle to find suitable gifts due to too many options,
unclear categories, and lack of guidance. The challenge was to
simplify the journey without removing choice, especially for users
shopping under time pressure.
Design approach
The solution focused on a step-by-step wizard flow that asks one
question at a time. Visual cues, character imagery, and clear CTAs
help users stay engaged while progressively narrowing down choices.
Impact & outcome
The guided experience reduced cognitive load and helped users reach
relevant gift options faster. By turning gift discovery into a
conversational flow, the design improved clarity, engagement, and
overall confidence in purchasing decisions.
